5.8 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE ROCKS AZERBAIJAN CAUSING CONSIDERABLE DESTRUCTION

5.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Azerbaijan at around 8:30 am today.

According to preliminary data, the quake occurred 28 km northwest of
Azerbaijani town of Sheki.

The tremors were felt in Armenian towns of Sevan, Vanadzor, Artashat
and Ijevan, measured at 3-4 magnitude, the National Seismic Protection
Service of Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
