YEREVAN. – Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Martin
Sargsyan and his brother, the newly-appointed prefect of capital
Yerevan’s Shengavit Administrative Region, Armen Sargsyan, recently
organized a gathering in honor of Ruben Masumyan (Gasoline Rubo),
the single-mandate election MP candidate nominated by the ruling
coalition’s junior member, Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party (RLP).

Those “notables” at the gathering were clearly explained that they
“have to support Ruben” in the forthcoming National Assembly elections,
Yerkir daily writes.

“Martin Sargsyan is using all his levers and is instructing, everywhere
possible, to work for Masumyan.

It is noteworthy that, according to our information, the RLP
candidate’s sponsors have urged him to no longer visit casinos.

According to some information, Masumyan has wasted almost half of
his possessions in gaming halls,” Yerkir writes.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
