YEREVAN, APRIL 24, ARMENPRESS: During the April 24 session of the
Georgian MP Jondo Bagaturia has raised the issue of recognition
of the Armenian Genocide committed by the Ottoman Empire early in
20th century.
“While raising the issue of the Cherkezians I have warned that the
Georgians must touch upon that topic, as the Armenian Genocide will
follow it. Now we are to give an answer to our Armenian brothers,
who are our compatriots,” said Bagaturia.
After his statement Azeri MP Azer Suleymanov threw a subject at Jondo
Bagaturia, and the latter threw his pen, after which it turned into
a brawl. Suleymanov called Jondo Bagaturia a MP of Armenians.
