PanARMENIAN.Net – A fight occurred between the bodyguards of Turkish
public security forces official Serdar Kilic and residents of a
village of Al-Bireh in the north of Lebanon.

As the editor-in-chief of Beirut-based Aztag daily Shahan Kandaharian
told PanARMENIAN.Net Kilic and a former head of administration had
difficulty stopping the skirmish.

The fight was caused by Kilic’s decision to cancel his visit to the
village, instead opting to continue his way to Aintab, a village with a
majority of Turkish population. “The clash reveals actual relationship
between Ankara and Turkish-populated villages of Lebanon,” Kandaharian
said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
