Head of the Armenian delegation to Euronest Parliamentary Assembly
Vahan Hovhannisyan commented on the statement by chairman of the
so-called Karabakh Liberation Organization Akif Nagi, noting that
“all means will be used to prevent participation of Armenian MPs in
the plenary sitting of Euronest Parliamentary Assembly.

“If Azerbaijan fails to ensure entry of the delegation to its territory
or its safety in the framework of international obligations assumed,
it will deal with the international community in this case with the
European Parliament and the European Union,” Mr. Hovhannisyan told
a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

He further noted the plan of the Armenian delegation to Euronest
Parliamentary Assembly to visit Baku in its full composition, however
not ruling out the inability of one or two MPs to leave Armenia due
to health or other problems.

Plenary sitting of Euronest Parliamentary Assembly is scheduled for
April 2-4 in Baku.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
