FOREIGN MINISTER OF GERMANY COMMEMORATES VICTIMS OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

YEREVAN, MARCH 16, ARMENPRESS. Foreign Minister of Germany Guido
Westerwelle visited today memorial to the victims of the Armenian
Genocide – Tsitsernakaberd – and put wreath at the memorial and
flowers at the eternal fire.

Minister Westerwelle was accompanied by deputy director of the Armenian
Genocide museum-institute Suren Manukyan who presented to the guest
the history of one of the greatest atrocities against humanity and
the symbol of the monument. German ambassador to Armenia Hans Yochan
Schmidt also accompanied them.

German Bundestag recognized the Armenian Genocide and adopted a
resolution condemning it still in 2005.
