TWO STAMPS CANCELLED ON THE OCCASION OF THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF RA ARMED FORCES

Two stamps dedicated to the 20th anniversary of formation of the
Armenian Armed Forces were cancelled on February 9.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan,
Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan, President
of the Union of Philatelists Hovik Musaelyan, Presidnet of the
“Corporacion America” Company Eduardo Eurnekian.
“Stamps are one of the state symbols. Stamps are not only of great
cultural value, they have an important political pretext, as well.
Millions of people, who buy this stamp for their collection, will
get information about the Armenian Army,” Hovik Musaelyan said.
One of the stamps depicts the Armenian tricolor and the coat of arms
of the Armed Forces. The second one pictures the types of troops of
RA Armed Forces.
The stamps have been designed by Aram Gyumishyan. Each stamp costs
220.208 AMD.
