Kuwait’s first envoy submits credentials

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan recently received credentials of the
newly appointed Kuwaiti Ambassador to Armenia Basam Muhammed
al-Qabandi. Al-Qabandi praised Armenia’s firm position towards the
issues of the State of Kuwait outlining the expansion of bilateral
relations between the two countries.

In turn, Sargsyan wished the friendly State of Kuwait further progress
and conveyed his greetings to its leaders. Sargsyan congratulated the
Kuwaiti envoy on his appointment and hailed the ties between Armenia
and Kuwait. He stressed that Armenia attach great importance to
developing relations with the Arabian Gulf nations.

The opening of Armenia’s Embassy in Kuwait and Kuwait’s Embassy in
Armenia reflects the willingness of the nations for comprehensive
development of bilateral relations, he said. Ambassador al-Qabandi
also had talks with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
