Armenian grand master Varuzhan Hakobyan, who represents the United
States in international tournaments, has won second the prize in the
North American Open.

According to the official website of the Armenian Chess Federation,
the sportsman scored 5.5 points out of possible seven.

He was behind the top player – Spain’s Francisco Valekho – by 0.5 point.

The tournament had brought together sportsmen from 62 countries.
