PRELATE TO PRESIDE OVER DIVINE LITURGY AT FORTY MARTYRS CHURCH IN ORANGE
COUNTY

On Sunday, January 8, 2012, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian,
Prelate, will preside over Divine Liturgy at Forty Martyrs Church in Orange
County and will deliver the sermon.

CHRISTMAS PRAYER SERVICE AND BLESSING OF WATER
AT ARARAT HOME

In celebration of the Nativity and Theophany of our Lord Jesus
Christ, on Tuesday, January 10, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian,
Prelate, and clergy members will visit Ararat Home in Mission Hills for a
prayer service and the blessing of water.
The day will being at 10:00 a.m. with a prayer and the blessing of
water in the Residents Dining Room of the Nursing Facility. At 10:30 a.m.,
Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at the Sheen Chapel for Assisted Living
residents. The celebrant is Archpriest Fr. Vicken Vassilian, who will also
deliver the sermon.
At noon, the Prelate and clergy will be hosted to a luncheon by the
administration.

CHRISTMAS PRAYER SERVICE AND BLESSING OF WATER
AT GLENDALE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Upon the invitation of the administration of Glendale Memorial
Hospital, on Thursday, January 5th, the Prelate and clergy members visited
the hospital on the occasion of the New Year and Christmas.
The Prelate led a prayer service for staff and patients and also
conducted the traditional blessing of water in celebration of the Nativity
and Theophany of our Lord. The Prelate also conveyed his blessings and
Christmas message to the administration and patients.

PRELATE WELCOMES CONSUL GENERAL OF LEBANON

On Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh
Mardirossian, Prelate, welcomed to the Prelacy the first official guest of
the New Year, Consul General of Lebanon Madonna Aoun Ghazal.
The Consul General had come to personally convey her well wishes to
the Prelate on the occasion of the New Year and Christmas, given that she
would be unable to attend the New Year and Christmas Dinner on January 6.

Given that it was Consul Ghazal’s first visit to the Prelacy, the
Prelate familiarized her with the various departments and gave a general
overview of the Prelacy’s endeavors and mission. There was also a
discussion on the close relationship between Armenians and Lebanon and the
Consulate General of Lebanon and the Prelacy. Consul Ghazal also spoke of
the registration of Lebanese citizens living outside of Lebanon, given that
in the upcoming elections they are able to vote from abroad.
The visit concluded with the Prelate presenting a memento to Consul
Ghazal.
