LEBANESE PRESIDENT VISITS TSITSERNAKABERD

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman, who is on an official visit
to Armenia, has visited the Memorial to Armenian Genocide victims,
Tsisternakaberd.

He laid a wreath at the memorial. Accompanied by Haik Demoyan,
Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, was shown round
the museum and left a note in the Commemoration Book. The Lebanese
delegation also had a tour of the Memory Alley, where the Lebanese
president planted a fir.

President Michel Suleiman is scheduled to hold meetings with Armenia’s
government and Parliament leaders and with Catholicos of All Armenians
Garegin II.

After visiting Tsisternakaberd, the Lebanese leader made his way to
the Armenian presidential residence. The bilateral negotiations are to
be followed by the Armenian and Lebanese presidents’ press conference.
