MORE PEOPLE FROM EUROPEAN COUNTRIES VISIT MATENADARAN THAN FROM CIS STATES

During the nine months of the running year 40 261 people visited
Matenadaran in the nine months of the running year. Amalya Shahumyan,
employee of the Matendaran showing hall, told Armenpress that this
year more visitors from Italy, France, Germany, Spain have been
registered and less from Russia.
Shahumyan said the number of visitors from the CIS is less than
from the European countries. “The tourism agencies are more working
with the tourists arrived from Europe, that is why their interest in
Matenadaran is greater,” she said.
>From Russia mainly Armenians are visiting Matenadaran. This year
there were many visitors from Czechia, Poland, Hungary and Finland.
Iranian citizens visit Matenadaran during Novruz time when a great
number of Persians arrive in Armenia.
