Armenian Minister of Education Armen Ashotyan held a meeting Nov. 16
with Mr. Victor Krivopuskov, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office
in Armenia and Advisor to the Russian Embassy in Armenia.
The sides discussed Armenian-Russian educational cooperation. They
placed emphasis on the bilateral humanitarian cooperation agreement
signed during Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s state visit to
Russia this October.
The sides discussed preparations for opening a branch of Moscow State
University in Armenia and, under the amendments to the RA Law on
Comprehensive Education, adopted last year, the opening of a Russian
grammar school.
The sides also discussed the opportunities for cooperation with
Armenia’s high and higher schools. One of them is establishing a center
of public access to Russian education at the Rossotrudnichestvo office
in Armenia early next year.
