“Some may think that Azerbaijan, a non-permanent member of the U.N.
Security Council, will be able to resolve the conflict of NK, but
it isn’t right,” “SalamNews” quotes Azerbaijani MP Rasim Musabekov
as saying.
“Look through the history. Turkey, which deals with Cypriot conflict,
has been U.N. SC non-permanent member several times. Has Turkey managed
to get use of its status and meet the challenge?” stressed Musabekov.
The Azeri MP said Pakistan had been U.N. SC non-permanent member 7
times, but failed to resolve the conflict of Kashmir.
“Don’t think that we’ll resolve all our problems due to that
membership. It won’t be easy to include the NK issue into the agenda,”
said the official.
