Azerbaijani Parliamentary Vice Speaker Bahar Muradova believes the
crisis Armenia faced in its economic and social life is seen in
its politics.

“The crisis is caused by economic, political and social reasons,”
she said.

Armenian Parliamentary Speaker Ovik Abramyan, Yerevan Major Karen
Karapetyan, Police Chief Alik Sargsyan and other high-level officials
have been dismissed recently.

Muradova said Armenia is facing a crisis in all spheres.

“Armenia’s weakening position, the blow to its reputation in the
region and the world and the impasse due to Armenia’s occupation
policy are causing protests in the country,” she said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
