Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan resigns.
During today’s sitting of the Executive Body of the Republican Party
of Armenia, President Serzh Sargsyan proposed Hovik Abrahamyan to head
the headquarters of the Republican Party of Armenia during the upcoming
parliamentary elections, RPA Press Secretary Edward Sharmazanov said.
Abrahamyan accepted the proposal and said he would resign from the
Speaker’s position to concentrate on the organization of elections.
