Armenian-Syrian photographer Hrair Sarkissian’s new exhibition “Istory”
is currently on display at the contemporary art space SALT Beyoglu
in İstanbul.

The show is the second in SALT Beyoglu’s exhibition series Modern
Essays, aimed at tracking Turkey’s modernism adventure through
contemporary works of art. The show, which opened Tuesday and runs
until Dec. 31, is made up of photographs Sarkissian took in several
public and semi-private libraries and archives in İstanbul during
a research he conducted in 2010 in İstanbul.
