Montreal Mayor Gerald Tramblay visited today Tsitsernakaberd, memorial
complex dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

“We condemn the Armenian Genocide. I have come to say that I remember
what happened, and you are not alone. Peace and human dignity are
the greatest merits, which are necessary for continuing the life,”
the Montreal Mayor said,

The delegation members put flowers around the unquenchable fire and
paid a tribute of honor to the memory of the innocent victims of the
Genocide 1915 with one-minute silence.

Then the delegation arrived from Canada visited the Armenian Genocide
Museum, and Gerald Tramblay made a note in the commemoration book.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
