ARMENIA U-16 SCORES 2ND WIN AT WORLD YOUTH CHESS OLYMPIAD

PanARMENIAN.Net – Armenia faced Moldova in the 2nd round of the World
Youth U-16 Chess Olympiad 2011 going on in Izmit, Turkey.

Hovhannes Gabuzyan, playing with white pieces, beat Marius Abramkius,
to bring the fist victory to the Armenian team. Arman Mikaelyan, also
playing with white pieces, scored a win against Yegor Prokop. Karen
Grigoryan and Valery Iovkov, playing with black pieces, beat Valery
Iovkov and Oleg Gorbanovsky resp. to crush Moldova 4:0.

After the 2nd round, Armenia has 7,5 points to its score.
