DEPUTY DEFENSE MINISTERS MEETS WITH REPS OF ARMY IN REALITY

Davit Tonoyan, First Deputy of Armenia’s Defense Minister, has met
with the representatives of the Army in Reality initiative.
The meeting lasts for three hours now.
The representatives of the initiative are expected to have a briefing
with reporters after the meeting.
It comes after the group organized a demonstration outside the
government building on Thursday, protesting against non-combat killings
in the army.
The demonstration ended with the detention of opposition activist
Vardges Gaspari.
Non-combat killings and deaths in the army have recently kicked up
public outrage. In October alone at least three conscripts have died
in non-combat circumstance.
