Henri Saby, a former member of the French Parliament and old friend
of the Armenian people, who died this June, willed to be buried in
Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).

His ashes have been brought to Armenia. Part of the ashes will be
buried at the Yerevan pantheon on Oct. 19, with the other part to be
buried in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Not of Armenian descent, Henri Saby, carried out pro-Armenian
activities. It was due to his efforts that the European Parliament
discussed – and later approved – the Resolution on a political solution
to the Armenian question (the European Parliament Resolution of 18
June 1987 on a political solution to the Armenian Question).

Mr. Henri Saby greatly contributed to the adoption of various
resolutions defending the Nagorno-Karabakh people’s rights by the
European Parliament.
