PanARMENIAN.Net – OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs, Bernard Fassier (France),
Robert Bradtke (U.S.) and Igor Popov (Russia) warned Azerbaijan
against cherishing illusions for military solution of the Nagorno
Karabakh conflict, member of the Armenian delegation to OSCE PA said

As Artak Davtyan noted, during a special presentation on the OSCE
role in Karabakh conflict settlement, the Co-chairs warned Baku
against hoping for ever getting demographic and economic advantage
over Armenia to be used in the conflict.”

“The Co-chairs also commented on one of the parties’ refusal to
withdraw snipers from contact line. Though unmentioned, it was clear
Azerbaijan was implied,” Davtyan said.

“Armenia was urged against using maintenance of status quo to achieve
NKR recognition,” he noted.

The head of delegation, Aram Safaryan, in turn, characterized the
majority of suggestions advanced during the presentation as balanced
and constructive. “The co-chairs supported Armenia’s position on a
peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict,” Safaryan said.
