(Noyan Tapan – 07.09.2011) On September 7, RA NA Speaker Hovik
Abrahamyan received European Union Special Representative (EUSR)
for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Philippe Lefort.
Greeting the guest NA Speaker congratulated him on the appointment
and expressed confidence that his diplomatic experience would promote
the development of EU-Armenia cooperation and the regulation of
regional conflicts.
They also touched upon EOURONEST parliamentary summit. RA NA Speaker
noted that Armenia’s National Assembly was the first to greet
EURONEST idea and it was very important format for securing peace in
the region but that structure shouldn’t become the body discussing
regional conflicts.
