TURKISH AUTHORITIES ALLOWED ARMENIAN CHILDREN TO ATTEND ARMENIAN SCHOOLS

ISTANBUL. – Turkish authorities allowed children of Armenian parents
with illegal status to attend Armenian colleges, editor-in-chief of
Zhamanak newspaper published in Istanbul Ara Gochunyan told Armenian
News-NEWS.am.

The permission is oral yet, and the newspaper received the information
from the Armenian Patriarchate of Istanbul.

“The patriarchate followed the issue for many years and finally got
solution for it,” told Gochunyan and added that the permission refers
to 2011-2012 academic year.
