Serj Tankian awarded by Armenian PM

YEREVAN.- Armenian Prime Minister received frontman of System of a
Down Serj Tankian on Saturday.
Premier stressed that finds Tankian’s visit important in the context
of development of rock music in Armenia. He said there is an
association uniting a number of Armenian rock bands, government’s
press service reported..
Armenian PM and Serj Tankian also discussed organization of `Rock
against Genocide’ festival dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the
Armenian Genocide and participation of famous rock bands and
musicians.
Tigran Sargsyan awarded Serj Tankian a medal for considerable
contribution to recognition of the Armenian Genocide and contribution
to rock music.
