VAHAGN MARTIROSYAN APPOINTED DEPUTY DIRECTOR IN ROSTELECOM

Vahagn Martirosyan, a Georgia-born Armenian, has been appointed as
Senior Deputy President of Rostelecom, Russia’s leading long-distance
telephony provider.

In this position he will be in charge for company’s strategic
development, promotion of goods and services, the development of
technologies, as well as for raising company’s operational efficiency.

Speaking of Martirosyan, Alexander Provotorov, the President of
Rostelecom, said that Martirosyan “has exclusive knowledge and a
successful and efficient work experience under harsh conditions of
strong competition”.

“That will definitely contribute to the efficient resolution of the
tough issues the company is facing now,” said Prvotorov.

Vahagn Martirosyan was born in 1951 in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 1974 he
graduated from Yerevan’s Polytechnic Institute. From 1995 he worked
as the deputy Business Development Director at the Central Telegraphy,
and since 2001 worked as its General Director.
