(Noyan Tapan – 27.07.2011) “Karine” operetta by Tigran Chukhajyan that
was staged in Paris was presented in our country in “Narekaci” Art
Centre. As French director and actor Jirayr Papzyan informed during
the press conference on July 27, “Karine” operetta was successfully
accepted in Paris and then they received an invitation from theatre
“Odeon” in Marseille which is the birthplace of operettas.

Jirayr Papazyan noted that theatre and acting are the main mission of
an actor, but as an Armenian he thinks he has to present the Armenian
art to the European audience. “Nobody gives money for the Armenian
works, we can’t even rely on the Armenian community in France, as no
one is interested in the Armenian culture there,” the actor said.
