YEREVAN. – Over 25 thousand of citizens bear arms in Armenia, Armenian
police press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Sixteen commercial
organizations are currently licensed and engaged in import and sale of
weapons. Most of the weapons are shipped from Russia, Georgia, Ukraine
and Europe. There are more than a dozen gun shops in Yerevan. For
instance, prices for weapons are ranging from AMD 80 000 to 150 000
in Zenkeri Ashkhar store. In Burastan store prices start from AMD 90
000, in Asparez, Vorsord and Nagan stores prices start at AMD 100 000.
