AGRICULTURE MINISTRY: ANNUAL PRODUCTION OF HONEY IN KARABAKH CAN BE 500 TONS

Stepanakert. June 21. /ARKA/. There are real opportunities in
Karabakh for making the annual production of honey 500 tons, said
NKR Agriculture Minister Armo Tsaturyan in the government meeting.
In 2010 Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) produced over 210 tons
of honey.
The government of NKR approved the draft laws “On forage for livestock”
and “On apiculture”.
Tsaturyan said that further development of agriculture requires
application of the above mentioned laws which will allow to regulate
economic relations in the given spheres, promote production and its
implementation, as well as establish necessary control.
He said that the country has special expectations from apiculture.
NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan said that the state plans to
allocate a certain amount for the promotion of the given product and
increase financing in future.
