CATHOLICOS OF ALL ARMENIANS CONTINUES HIS VISIT TO JAVAKHK

(Noyan Tapan – 15.06.2011) On June 14, His Holiness Karekin II,
the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians continued his
pontifical visit to Javakhk and visited the village of Tsughrut where
the famous Tsughrut Gospel is kept in the St. Sion Church.

On the same day, the Armenian delegation visited Akhaltsikhe
patriarchate of the Georgian Church and Tao-Klarjeti Diocese, then
left for Akhalkalak.

Before arriving to Akhalkalak, the delegation stopped at Aspindza
regional center. According to the Information Service of the Mother
See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II
welcomed the historical visit of Karekin II to Javakhk.

Karekin II addressed the crowd.

“We came to you with a pray ofgratification, happy heart and now we
see the enthusiasm, love and faithfulness of your soul towards th
Cathedral of Holy Ejmiatsin,” said His Holiness.

“We believe that all obstacles should be overcome and with your belief
and support to God, as the deserving citizens of Georgia, will continue
to make a contribution to the development of Georgia and good relations
between our two nations and countries”, noted His Holiness.
