Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador
Karen Nazaryan, has circulated a letter within the organization
lambasting the “anti-Armenian” measures taken by Azerbaijan in the U.N.

In his letter addressed to U.N. General Secretary Ban Ki-moon,
Ambassador Nazaryan asks that particular attention be paid to Baku’s
continuing ant-Armenian propaganda. Nazaryan argues that Azerbaijan
has been abusing its privilege of membership in the United Nations.

Armenia’s representative notes that amidst all this anti-Armenia and
Karabakh rhetoric, Baku continues to overlook calls by the U.N. and
the Minsk Group to pull back its snipers from the Artsakh frontline.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
