ARMENIA’S INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT GROWS 11% TO AMD 75 BILLION IN APRIL

YEREVAN, May 20. /ARKA/. Armenia’s industrial output grew by 11%
in April 2011, compared with the same month a year earlier, to over
AMD 75 billion, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

However compared with the previous month, it shrank by 1.5% in April.

According to the statistical report, 584.9 million kilowatt/hour
electric power was generated in the country in April 2011 (4.7%
year-on-year decline).

The agriculture sector’s output grew 0.6% in April 2011, compared
with the same month a year before, to AMD 35.5 billion, and compared
with March 2011, it grew by 42%.

The country’s construction sector accounted for 16.9% year-on-year
growth in April and the output totaling AMD 23.3 billion.

However, in April compared with March, 4.2% decline was recorded here.
