TRAFFIC OFFICERS TO FINE PEDESTRIANS AT SPOT

At the April 1 sitting, RA Government made a decision allowing traffic
officers to fine pedestrians violating traffic regulations at the spot.

The executive body approved the program of reforms in police for
2010-2011, aiming at building public confidence for law enforcement
authorities, RA Governmental Information and PR Department informed
NEWS.am.

RA Police Chief Alik Sargsyan reported to Prime Minister Tigran
Sargsyan that due to the recent large inrush of Iranians to Armenia,
crime rate in the country did not increase.
