ArmInfo. Unfavorable balance of trade in Armenia for Jan-Feb 2010
totaled $382.4 million or 45% of GDP. The preliminary data of the
National Statistical Service of Armenia say the foreign turnover
of Armenia for Jan-Feb 2010 fell by 22.5% and 4.5% versus Jan 2010
totaling $625.2 million (235.7 bln AMD).
In the structure of foreign turnover, export grew 53.5% as compared
to Jan-Feb 2009 and totaled $121.4 mln or 46 bln AMD. Import was up
16.8% to $503.8 mln (189.7 bln AMD). In Feb versus Jan 2010, export
grew 25.2%, import – 0.3%.
The exchange rate of the US dollar against Amrenian dram for Jan-Feb
2010 totaled 379.01AMD/1USD.
