`Dangerous’ Points in Protocols Should be Removed: Armenian
Revolutionary Federation
12:03 – 13.03.10
`In Armenia’s history, there have been many processes [which took
place] in order to satisfy official approaches,’ said Armenian
Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun, or ARF-D) Supreme Body in
Armenia representative Armen Rustamyan, praising the Swedish
parliament’s recent decision to approve a bill recognizing the
Armenian Genocide.
According to the ARF-D MP, if authorities don’t wish to hinder that
process, it would be right to remove the `dangerous,’ or threatening,
points in the Armenia-Turkey Protocols.
Turning his attention to the ruling coalition’s calls that Sweden’s
passing of the Genocide bill supported the existence of the
Armenian-Turkish Protocols, Rustamyan said:
`It would be good if those who are saying that would explain how it is
that the negotiating party’s official representative states that the
[point of a] commission of historians is for discussing the Genocide
issue; the same is being said by Sweden’s foreign minister, [and]
let’s not forget Hillary Clinton’s position.
