HOVIK ABRAHAMYAN: "NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, IMPLEMENTING NEW PROGRAMS, IS READY TO DEVELOP THE COOPERATION WITH USAID"

On January 14 the Speaker of the National Assembly Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan
received the United States Agency for International Development
(USAID)/Armenia Mission Director Mrs. Jatinder Cheema.
Welcoming the guest the Speaker of the National Assembly highly
assessed the cooperation of the USAID with the Armenian authorities
and expressed the willlingness of the National Assembly in promoting
it. Mr. Abrahamyan in particular, said that the Armenian parliament,
implementing new programs, is ready to develop the cooperation
with USAID.
In that context Mr. Abrahamyan and Mrs. Cheema discussed the possible
directions of cooperation. They disnguished a number of perspective
spheres for elaborating and implementing new programs in order to
develop the professional and technical capabilities of the National
Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
The Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Mrs. Arevik Petrosyan also
attended the meeting.
