ARMENIA AMONG TOP 3 CIS COUNTRIES ENJOYING RUSSIANS’ TRUST

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia are in the list
of CIS countries enjoying Russians’ maximum trust, as shown by the
results of the survey conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion
Research Center.

Thus, Russia’s more reliable partners are Belarus, Kazakhstan and
Armenia, each having 43%, 31% and 8% rating respectively. All other
countries strictly fall behind. Azerbaijan and Ukraine each have 4%
rating, while Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan enjoy
only 3% trust among Russians. As to Tajikistan and Georgia, they have
received 2% and 1% respectively.

Russian people’s trust in CIS leaders coincides with the ratings
above. Thus, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Kazakh
President Norsultan Nazarbaev have 33% and 28% rating respectively.

Azeri President Ilham Aliyev (6%) comes next. followed by Uzbek
and Turkmen top leader Islam Karimov and Gurbangula Berdimuhamedov
(each having 5%), Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev (4%), Armenian
President Serzh Sargsyan (3%), Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko
(3%) and Tajikistani President Emomali Rahmonov (2%). The lowest rating
belongs to Georgian President Mikheil Sahakashvili has received only
1%, RIA Novosti reports.
