PSRC RESOLUTION ON WHOLESALE INTERNET PRICES LEAVES FAST OBSOLESCENCE OF IT EQUIPMENT OUT OF ACCOUNT

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ As of January 1, 2010, Public Services Regulatory
Commission of the Republic of Armenia (PSRC) established maximal
wholesale internet tariffs at AMD 174 000 (1Mbps speed).

Commenting on PSRC decision, ArmenTel (Beeline trademark) Director
General Igor Klimko noted that new prices will cover the company
costs for a while, yet PSRC resolution on wholesale internet prices
leaves fast obsolescence of IT equipment out of account. "Fast cost
recovery of services provided is important for equipment upgrades,"
he explained.
