/PanARMENIAN.Net/ In the frameworks of Hrazdan-5 project, energy bloc
under reconstruction is being supplied with technological equipment,
including GT13E2 Alstom equipment set (total weight: about 1350 tons)
for gas turbine and 4 equipment settings for main power transformers,
ArmRosgazprom CJSC’s press service reports.

Equipment delivery is to finish early in December. Delivery of 400
Mwt power transformer (260 tons) and 5.3 Mwt gas turbine transformer
is expected between November 25 and 29, 2009, and the second stage
of delivery of gas turbine supplies is to finish by December 10.

Shipping is carried out by SCR CJSC and its specialized subcontractor
Rail Gas Service on competitive bases. Supplies are delivered to Batumi
port (Georgia) by special sea vessels and then moved to Hrazdan-5
construction site by railway transportation means and automobiles.

Armenian and Czech Foreign Ministers. Parities discussed a wide range
of issues on developing political dialogue and trade relations and
boosting investments within international organizations. They also
focused on regional security issues and Armenia-EU relations.

Czech delegation was met by Deputy FM Karine Kazinyan. During the
meeting, parties exchanged views on cooperation within Eastern
Partnership project and stressed the importance of establishing
bilateral and multilateral contacts. Upon guests’ request, Karine
Kazinyan briefed on current stage of RA-Turkish rapprochement. Czech
party made proposal for conducting next stage of consultations in

to mark the 25th Anniversary of COMCEC –the Standing Committee for
Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of the Islamic
Conference– with participation of Heads of State and Government,
adopted the "Istanbul Declaration".

Member countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference
unanimously adopted a closing declaration urging member states to
ratify the Preferential Tariff Scheme (PRETAS) and the TPSOIC Rules
of Origin, in order to foster economic and commercial ties.

The declaration also recognized the importance of the implementation of
OIC Agreements and resolutions in the field of economic and commercial
cooperation and regarded Trade Preferential System of OIC (TPS-OIC)
as one of the main instruments to foster commercial ties and reaching
the target of 20 % intra-OIC trade by 2015.

made decision to leave current refunding level at 5%, RA CBA press
service reports.

According to the Bank’s release, inflation rate in September increased
by 0.5% compared to August and 3.5% – on annual level. Forecasting
further economic growth, CBA board finds that current interest rate
of refunding maximum contributes to economy’s rapid recovery, without
posing threat to stability of prices.

"Asparez" club journalist Levon Barseghyan’s claim vs. RA president’s
staff. Plaintiff claimed that court oblige presidential staff to
provide him with ex-President Robert Kocharyan’s letter to Millennium
Challenges director John Danilovich. The letter was a response to
warning-notice dated March 11, 2008.

Administrative Court argued that ex-President’s letter to Millennium
Challenges Director could not be considered satisfactory under RA law
"On Freedom of Information". According to court verdict, "the letter,
as well as parties’ notes on bilateral negotiation process, cannot
be considered information." Only agreements or decisions can apply
to the category.

Immediately following March 1, 2008 developments, Millennium Challenges
General Director John Danilovich addressed a letter to RA Presdient
Robert Kocharyan, expressing his concerns. In his letter Danilovich
also said that incident would not affect Millennium Challenges funding
program, Asparez club NGO’s press service reports.

first instance court of Kentron and Nork Marash Districts with a
claim against Ogostos ltd. which published Tchorrord Ishkhanuntyun
newspaper. Plaintiff’s claim was based on respondent’s failure to pay
debts. But the former unexpectedly imposed ban on the publication
of newspaper, and the claim was satisfied by court," newspaper’s
journalist Taguhi Tovmasyan told today a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Following the court verdict, "Koghmnaki Andzants M" organization
undertook publication of "Tchorrord Ishkhanuntyun". "Gind" filed a
case against the latter too, claiming a ban on newspaper’s publication
by any publishing house, the journalist said. "First instance court
of Kentron and Nork Marash districts satisfied the claim and made
interim decision in favor of plaintiff."

"To continue publication of our newspaper we changed its logotype
while the name remained unchanged," Taguhi Tovmasyan stressed.

Besides, she added that proceedings over the case continue, and court
hearing is due on November 11.

of the Caucasus and Green Lane Agricultural Assistance NGO will held
November 18 a round-table session at the Aarhus Center to discuss
the "Sustainable Land Management for Mitigating Land Degradation and
Reducing Poverty in the South Caucasus Region" project. The project is
funded by EC and implemented by REC Caucasus in partnership with CENN.

At the first stage of the project, a group of experts investigated and
analyzed land degradation trends in the basin of Debed River. Based on
the study results, specific recommendations have been developed. In
Armenia, soil composition, flora, current situation in economy and
its agricultural sector, dynamics of natural disasters (landslides,
torrents, floods) in the Debed River Basin were analyzed. During
the round-table meeting, the experts will present the work done to
inspire wider public discussion on the project.

Representatives of the Ministries of Nature Protection and Agriculture
will present their views on the project and its current outcomes
