GAS TRANSIT RESUMPTION TO ARMENIA VIA THE TERRITORY OF GEORGIA DELAYED

ArmInfo. According to the preliminary arrangement with the Georgian
party, gas transit to Armenia via the territory of Georgia will
be resumed tomorrow [6 October], CJSC ‘ArmRusgasprom’told ArmInfo
correspondent.
The gas supply of the republic was stopped on 1 October because of
repairing work at the main gas pipeline North Caucasus-Transcaucasus
at the territory of Georgia. It was planned the work would be finished
on 5 October. At present gas supply in Armenia has no limit thanks to
the reserves of the Abovyan underground gas store and to gas delivery
through the Iran-Armenia gas pipeline.
