ARF-D Will Participate in President’s Pan-Armenian Tour¦ If Invited
President Serzh Sargsyan annnounced to Catholicos of All Armenians His
Holiness Karekin II yesterday his plans for a `Pan-Armenian Tour.’
Beginning on October 1, the Armenian president will travel to Paris,
New York, Los Angeles, Beirut and Rostov-na-Donu (Rostov-on-Don) to
discuss the process of establishing Armenian-Turkish relations with
local Armenian community members in those cities.
Tert.am asked Armenian Revolutionary Federation ` Dashnaktsutyun
(ARF-D) political affairs director Giro Manoyan whether Diasporan
ARF-D representatives will be participating in these meetings. Manoyan
responded by saying they will participate in those discussions if they
receive an invitation to do so.
Manoyan also noted that a pan-Armenian tour provides a good
opportunity for President Sargsyan to understand the opinion of the
Armenian people.
`Since our concerns are shared by those both inside and outside
Armenia. And by hearing those concerns, Serzh Sargsyan will be guided
in the right direction,’ said Manoyan.
