MUNICIPALITY OF DIARBEKIR TO REPAIR ARMENIAN CEMETERY

The Municipality of Diarbekir has made a decision to repair the local
Armenian cemetery which has been neglected and abandoned for a long
time. According to the Marmara daily, the Municipality has organized
work to develop the cemetery and environment, to repair the walls,
put in order the lighting, repair the building of the entrance which
it realizes with success. 250 trees and 500 flower-gardens were
planted in the territory of the cemetery. A guard and a controller
were appointed there.
