PROMINENT KASHATAGH RESIDENTS CALL FOR RELEASE OF SARKIS HATSPANIAN

A group of Kashatagh residents has echoed the public demand issued
by eleven NKR parliamentary deputies and political figures calling
for the release of jailed French-Armenian Sarkis Hatspanian.
"Sarkis Hatspanian is known by many in Kashatagh. He has utilized
all the resources at his command to resettle the liberated lands of
Kashatagh. We believe that a person who helped liberate the land and
assisted in its resettlement is worthy of humanitarian treatment;
e.g. release from prison," reads the statement issued by the group.
Those signing the new statement include:
Artsakh Bunyatyan – NKR Meritorious Doctor; Military Cross #2
Father Atanas Movsisyan – Kashatagh District Pastor
Karen Grigoryan – NKR Member of Parliament
Tigran Kyureghyan – Former Member of NKR Parliament
Khachik Baghdasaryan – Writer, Poet, Photographer
