ARMAVIA OPENS NEW YEREVAN-ROME-YEREVAN FLIGHT

Armavia National air carrier of Armenia has opened new
Yerevan-Rome-Yerevan flight to be carried out once a week. Afterwards,
the flight frequency may be increased depending on the passenger
flow. The flight is carried out by A-319 airbus once a week according
to the following schedule (by local time): departure from Yerevan –
8:50 AM, arrival in Rome – 10:00 AM, departure from Rome – 11:20 AM,
arrival in Yerevan – 6:10 PM.
‘We hope this flight will be as successful as the previous ones and
will attract numerous passengers’, Company Director General Norayr
Buelluyan said. He added that Armavia plans to open a number of flights
in future to near abroad: Kharkov, Cheboksary and Vladikavkaz. As
for growth of the total number of passengers, he said the number
of passengers currently grew by 10% as compared to the same period
of 2008.
Today, Armavia carries out about 250 flights a month in over 30
directions.
