ANC continues recording violations in elections
YEREVAN, MAY 31, NOYAN TAPAN. According to the report provided to Noyan
Tapan by the Armenian National Congress (ANC), a number of other
violations were recorded in Yerevan Council of Elders elections.
In particular, at about 16:00, RA President Serzh Sargsyan’s brother,
Sashik Sargsyan accompanied by 50 people entered Kentron electoral
district N 20 and tried to stuff ballot boxes with ballot papers.
According to eye-witnesses, he declared that this is "his country and
he can do what he likes." He left after the journalists started to
video.
At Malatia-Sebastia community’s polling station N 8/01 Transparency
International organization’s observer witnessed a case of stuffing
ballot boxes with ballot papers. Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper’s
correspondent tried to take a photo, but the camera was taken away from
him, and the proxies were threatened.
At polling station N 7/7 of the same community commission member
Hovhannes Sargsian from RPA personally stuffed ballot boxes with ballot
papers in the presence of commission member from BH Metaksia
Khachatrian.
