Armenian communications market grows nearly 15% in 2008

Armenia’s communications market grew 14.9% in 2008 to 169.1 billion
dram ($552.6 million), the National Statistics Service said.
Telecommunications grew 14.7% to 165.5 billion dram, including mobile
communications – 32.8% to 112 billion dram, data-transfer and Internet
– 52.3% to 4.6 million dram and TV and radio broadcasting – 7.3% to
3.3 billion dram.
Postal and telegraph services increased 25.7% to 3.6 billion dram.
