PRICES OF GASOLINE AND DIESEL FUEL FALL BY 16.4% AND 10.2% RESPECTIVELY IN ARMENIA IN PAST YEAR

YEREVAN, JANUARY 8, NOYAN TAPAN. Prices of gasoline and diesel
fuel fell by 14.3% and 15.4% respectively in Armenia in December on
November 2008.

According to the RA National Statistical Service, a 20.2% growth
of gasoline prices in January-August 2008 was followed by a 30.4%
fall in gasoline prices in September-December. A similar tendency was
recorded with respect to diesel fuel prices in the indicated period:
a 31.5% growth was followed by a 31.8% fall in prices.

Prices of gasoline and diesel fuel fell by 16.4% and 10.2% respectively
in December 2008 on December 2007. There was a growth of prices
(12.2% and 27.7% respectively) in January-December 2008 as compared
with January-December 2007.
