TURKISH FM CONFIRMS THE FACT OF MEETING WITH ARMENIAN COUNTERPARTS

Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan today confirmed the fact of
holding direct consultations with Armenian counterparts.
Turkish Hurriyet daily wrote today that on July 8 "secret talks"
took place between Armenian and Turkish diplomats in the capital
of Switzerland.
According to Mediamax, during today’s joint press conference with his
Iranian counterpart Ali Babacan confirmed the information. The Turkish
Foreign Minister said: "Turkey recognizes Armenia. From time to time
we hold meetings and consultations with our Armenian counterparts."
