Putin greets Bush at Sochi residence

Sochi, 5 April: US President George W. Bush has arrived at Russian
President Vladimir Putin’s Bocharov Ruchey residence in the Black Sea
resort of Sochi for talks.

Putin greeted Bush and his wife, Laura, on the steps to the
residence. The presidents warmly greeted each other, like friends.
Putin gave Laura Bush a bouquet of flowers. The two leaders exchanged
a few words on the porch, posing for the press to take pictures, and
then proceeded inside.

Putin’s wife, Lyudmila, could not attend the meeting. Before the US
side accepted the invitation to come to Sochi, she had agreed to
travel to Yerevan at the invitation of Armenian president’s wife,
Bella Kocharyan, the Kremlin press service said.
