RUSSIA TO START URANIUM EXPLORATION IN ARMENIA

A joint Russian-Armenian venture will soon begin exploration and
mining of uranium in Armenia, following an agreement signed between
the two countries on February 6.
Russia plans to invest USD 3 million on uranium exploration in Armenia
this year, the news agency RIA Novosti reports.
Preliminary data puts uranium reserves in Armenia at 50 000 tons,
although the total amount could be anywhere between 25 000 and 100
000 tons.
